This Privacy Policy explains what personal data HabitStack collects, why we collect it, and how you can exercise your rights. We design for privacy: we collect the minimum data needed to run the Service.
Account data: your name and email address (provided at sign-up). Habit data: the habits you create, your daily check-ins, and related settings. Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Technical data: basic logs required for security and reliability.
We use your data solely to provide the Service: showing your habits and progress, processing your subscription, sending essential account emails, and (only if you opt in) habit reminders. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.
We process your data on the basis of contract performance (providing the Service), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention), and consent (optional reminders, which you can withdraw anytime in Settings).
We share data only with processors necessary to operate the Service: our hosting provider (Base44) and our payment processor (Stripe). Each processes data under contracts that meet GDPR requirements. We never share your habit data with anyone else.
Your data is retained while your account is active. You can permanently delete all your habit data at any time from Settings, effective immediately. Payment records are retained as required by tax and accounting law.
Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Export (CSV) and deletion are available directly in Settings — no need to contact us. For other requests, use the contact option below.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on secured infrastructure. Your habit data is private and visible only to you.
The Service is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses implemented by our processors.
We will notify you of material changes via the app or email before they take effect.
For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, contact us via the support option in the app Settings.
